About Eric

Born in 1963 Cincinnati, Ohio.  Parents moved serval time between 1963 and 1973. We lived in Price hill, Oakley, and Deer Park. Ohio till 1973. While living in Deer Park, I attended Howard Elementary School and then St. John’s Catholic School.

1973 my parents had a new house built in Goshen Ohio and during the summer of 73 we moved to Goshen, Oh. Attend St. Columban Catholic School till 1978. From 1978 to 1982 Attended Moeller High School and Live Oaks vocational School where studied Drafting.

Graduated High School in 1982 and shortly after joined the Navy. Left for Navy Boot Camp August 1982. After completion of Boot camp in October of 82 I attended a Seaman’s apprentice school for basic seamanship.

December of 82 I headed for my first ship, the USS Chattahoochee AO 98.  While stationed on board the Caloos, I married my first wife Robin. In 1985 my first Daughter Rosemary was born.  I was station on her from 1982 to the end of my enlistment in 1986.

Feb of 1989 I re-enlisted back into the Navy and head to Sasebo Japan and was stationed on board the USS San Bernardino LST 1189. I was stationed on the San Bernardino from 1989 to 1992.

1992 transferred from the San Bernardino and went to the USS Fife. December of 1993, I married my Wife Nida. I left the Fife August of 1994 and head to Silverdale Washington where I was stationed at NAVCOMTELSTA Puget Sound. I was there from 1994 to 1997.

October 1997 transferred from NAVCOMTELSTA and headed to Great Lakes Naval Training Center for some extra training. Nothing like being in Great Lakes in the wintertime.

January 1998, I reported aboard the USS Camden AOE 2. I was stationed on her from 1998 to 2002. The Camden was the last ship that I would be stationed on.

In 2002 I transferred from the Camden and made my way to Great Lakes Training facility. I was stationed there till I retired in 2005. I spent a total of 20 years in the Navy.

Since retiring from the Navy, I have worked for various companies as Maintenance Tech. Just have not been able to find the same Joy I had while in the Navy.

I have been married to Nida for 26 years and counting. I have Daughter, Stepdaughter and a Stepson with her.

From here my future is unknown, but I am sure it will be a great adventure and I will continue to trudge my way through life, one day at a time.
